Job Overview
This role will be responsible to define, develop, test, analyse, and maintain new software applications to achieve our client business requirements. This includes software coding, testing, and analysing software programs and applications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Analyse and assess existing business systems and procedures.
• Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
• Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with the client and their users.
• Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines for software applications developed by Datec.
• Undertake necessary training to be abreast with any new software programming languages used by our Software Development Team.
• Train end users to operate new or modified software applications/programs.
• Be willing to support Clients outside normal business hours.
• Be able to work remotely on client projects.
• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
• Ability to use relevant Project Management methodologies to deliver Customer Projects within scope and budget.
Key Requirements:
• Hold a Degree in Computing Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Business Software Requirements Analysis, Software Programming & Project Management.
• Experience in Project management and stakeholder management
• Practical experience in Software Development, System Integration, Data migration, and Reporting Tools
• Be a team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be technically astute with a sound understanding of Information technology.
• Qualifications such as PMP, ITIL, Prince 2, or equivalent would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Financial Applications would be an added advantage.
