Job Overview
This role will be responsible to support activities for clearance and delivery of goods to Datec’s end customers. Undertake procurement and Supply Chain Management and provide day-to-day support related to monitoring deliveries and liaising with partners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor and coordinate with the relevant parties to ensure that correct delivery of goods by the shipping agents.
- Work closely with the Sales team on product costing and freight cost estimation.
- Ensure on-time delivery of goods to end customers.
- Verify the count and accuracy of goods received once cleared from customs and delivered to the warehouse.
- Ensure that all records relating to a shipment are properly referenced in a systematic manner.
- Identify special or re-occurring delivery problems and propose solutions accordingly to the team.
- Perform receipting and invoicing using Sage ERP system.
- Conduct monthly stock takes.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a Tertiary qualification in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in supply chain management and delivery.
- Sound knowledge on relevant laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and other requirements governing the purchase and clearance of commodities.
- Knowledge on ICT-related products would be an added advantage.
- Be a team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a clean and valid group 2 driving license.
